First some news:
Text of Fatwah Urging Jihad Against Americans: "...We -- with God's help -- call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan's U.S. troops and the devil's supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson."
U.S. Tried to Halt Several Searches, Intervention Began Last Fall, By Barton Gellman, Washington Post Staff Writer, Thursday, August 27, 1998: "The Clinton administration has intervened repeatedly since last fall to delay or prevent intrusive weapons inspections in Iraq by United Nations teams, according to American and diplomatic accounts. The interventions included at least six occasions, beginning in November 1997, in which Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright or other top administration officials sought -- with success in each case but one -- to persuade chief U.N. inspector Richard Butler to rescind orders for surprise searches for weapons of mass destruction or to remove a controversial inspector from Iraq. In March, according to sources, the United States and the United Kingdom put an end to the U.N. Special Commission's most successful new inspection technique by withdrawing one critical form of intelligence support -- including information, equipment and personnel -- they had provided to the U.N. inspectors until then.
September 1, 1998, Sudan Attack Claims Faulty, U.S. Admits,
By PAUL RICHTER, LA Times Staff Writer: "With some
close allies voicing deepening doubts, U.S. officials acknowledged Monday
that they erred in their original explanation of how they picked a pharmaceutical
plant in Sudan to be destroyed by cruise missiles on Aug. 20. Officials
said they were unaware when Tomahawk missiles were fired at the Shifa Pharmaceutical
plant in the Sudanese capital that the facility produced human and veterinary
medicines for the impoverished nation. And they conceded that Clinton administration
officials initially overstated evidence that suspected terrorist mastermind
Osama bin Laden held a financial stake in the facility."
It is now clear the murder of Princess Diana has set in motion a train of events that could have catastrophic consequences for our planet. Clinton's signing on to the murder was the final straw that caused Janet Reno to jump the Clinton ship and abandon her boss. That in turn has caused Clinton to use anything, any excuse, any diversion, in a desperate attempt to deflect attention off Monica Lewinsky and save his presidency. As these pages long suspected, the whole Iraqi inspection "crisis" was a show designed to divert world attention. All the while Clinton and company were crying about Iraqi intransigence in refusing to permit inspections, it turns out the Clinton Administration itself was the one that was secretly sabotaging the inspection process.
Likewise with the bombing of Sudan and Afghanistan. The administration has yet to produce one ounce of credible evidence to support its contention that the Shifa Pharmaceutical plant was producing chemical agents. It also has produced no evidence that Bin Laden was connected to Shifa.
The damage that the United States is doing to its reputation in the Arab/Muslim world is incalculable. Clinton has literally used the people of Iraq, Sudan, and Afghanistan as fodder as he tries to keep eyes focused off his domestic troubles. And if anyone has any doubts as to where our world is headed, here are a few more news items:
Pakistan Proposes New Islamic Laws, By Kathy Gannon, Associated Press Writer, August 28, 1998: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif introduced a law Friday to create a new Islamic order in Pakistan and establish a whole legal system based on the Muslim holy book, the Koran. The constitutional amendment was quickly condemned by human rights activists, opposition politicians and constitutional experts. With Sharif controlling a two-thirds majority in Parliament, however, the amendment is likely to pass with little difficulty.
North Korea's Defiance, Washington Post, September 1, 1998: NORTH
KOREA is outdoing itself. In barely a week's time it has been caught building
a secret underground nuclear facility, and now it has conducted a test
of a new long-distance missile. The North Koreans even had the effrontery
and the foolishness to fire the second stage of this missile across sovereign
Japanese soil -- an unmistakable attempt to intimidate a nervous neighbor
and, indirectly, its patrons. The Stalinist regime's purpose seems
clear. As it acknowledges, it has little
else of value to export except the weapons it has accumulated to sustain
its self-isolating hedgehog pose. Its missile exports, put at $1 billion
a year, go to the rule-breaking countries, including Iraq, Iran, Syria
and Pakistan.
The events of Aug 31, 1997, and Clinton's actions since then, now
almost guarantee the triumph of hard-line, fundamentalist Islam that will
- perhaps rightly - perceive the West to be a mortal enemy. Eventually,
even Saudi Arabia will have to hedge its bets and begin to distance itself
from the United States. With the inevitable spread of nuclear weapons
technology, and North Korean medium range missiles to carry them, it doesn't
take a "Rhodes Scholar" to figure out where our planet is heading.
It's difficult to understand what Clinton was thinking when the Queen came crying to him for help with her "Diana problem." If Clinton had simply done the honorable thing and said no, he could have ridden off into the sunset as one of the great presidents of the modern US era. By signing on to the murder, he destroyed his presidency, held himself up to the ridicule of the whole world, and may even face criminal prosecution down the road.
As the cover-up began to unravel, Clinton probably thought hey, if worse comes to worse, we can always let the Queen take a fall. It apparently never occurred to him that he might have to. What Clinton forgot is that the world holds him - and the US - to a higher standard. People don't expect much from the Windsors and their bloody crew. They do expect a lot from the US President. Nobody is pretending any president is perfect, but the world does expect the US president - as leader of the world’s sole remaining superpower - to be fair and even handed. Clinton’s signing on to the murder proved he wasn’t, despite any rhetoric to the contrary. He gave the money men who really run things behind the scenes no choice but to abandon him. Even they must realize that their precious NWO agenda has now suffered a serious setback. Di and Dodi's murder ensures there will be a small, but potentially significant and growing, minority who will fight to death to see that the Western-led NWO does not succeed.
It was truly sad seeing Clinton offering yet another mea culpa in front of the whole world at the press conference in Moscow, as if that will save him. You could see it in his eyes. Clinton is finished and he knows it. And he deserves it. He could at least salvage some respect by bowing out gracefully and resigning. But he won't do it. Likewise with his "Bride," Her Majesty the Queen. One of the Queen's chaplains, Canon Eric James, tried to offer her a way out. Speaking in Westminister Abbey this past May, he sited the need for "profound reflection and reconsideration of the role of monarch," and that, "Abdication ought surely to be seen to be an honourable alternative before a coronation, and indeed, during a reign." But the Queen refuses to take the none too subtle hint. If Clinton and the Queen, against every dictate of reason and common sense, refuse to leave while they still can, it will make a large-scale mass murder attack (chemical, nuclear, biological) by Arab/Muslim extremists virtually inevitable.
With our world spinning dangerously out of control and economic depression just over the horizon, America desperately needs a strong leader. But you get what you pay for. Just as Clinton made his faustian bargain with the Bush leaguers who flooded his sleepy state with drugs to fund their contra-wars, the American people made their bargain with Clinton. And has been pointed out here previously, when you make your bargain with the devil, sooner or later he will betray you.
"...Even the walls have ears. A mother's
tear is treason," the Roman historian Tacitus said of a similarly
shameful age that mirrors our own. And as the holy war between east
and west heats up in earnest, there will be mothers' tears aplenty as the
death and carnage mounts. But that's what you have to expect when
you are ruled by the likes of Clinton and the Queen, men and women who
have no honor.
